Midd-West High School March 2025

Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as Student of the Month. These are students who represent Midd-West High School well through their academics, attendance, involvement in activities, and good citizenship (responsible, hard-working, and dependable).

CSThe 8th grade Student of the Month for March is Carly Steininger. She is the daughter of Chad and Stacey Steininger of Middleburg. Carly was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a helpful, honest, and dedicated student who asks thoughtful questions, goes above and beyond to submit quality work ahead of deadlines, helps others to reach understanding, pushes herself to go beyond her comfort zone for the sake of knowledge, and is kind to all her peers. Carly’s school activities include Junior High Girls Soccer, Enrichment, and Chief Science Officers. Outside of school, she enjoys doing dance, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family. Carly also helps teach dance classes at Dance Fever Studio. In the future, Carly is planning to attend college for pediatric nursing or forensics.

HHHenry Hoke is the 9th grade Student of the Month for March. He is the son of Steve and Suzanne Hoke of McClure. In school, Henry participates in Golf, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pit Band, Concert Band, Mini Band, Vocal Collective, Vocal Ensemble, and Theatrical Stage/Tech Crew. He also is involved in National History Day, Quiz Bowl, and Chief Science Officers. In Henry’s free time, he enjoys 3D printing and design, culinary, music composition and arranging, bowling, following the San Diego Padres, and umpiring Little League Baseball. Henry is also involved in Boy Scouts of America. After graduation, Henry plans to go to college to become an anesthesiologist and earn his PhD. Henry was selected as the Student of the Month because he is an incredibly enthusiastic student with a great attitude who does impeccable work and consistently participates in class.

OSThe 10th grade Student of the Month for March is Olivia Solomon. She is the daughter of Kevin and Bree Solomon of Middleburg. Olivia was selected as the Student of the Month because she is a wonderful student who is respectful, responsible, hardworking, always on task, and keeps her peers on task. Olivia’s school activities include Student Council, National Honor Society, Enrichment, and Swim. Outside of school, she enjoys babysitting, traveling, attending Youth Group, doing club swim, and hanging out with friends and family. After graduation, Olivia is planning to attend college and major in the medical field.

BCBren Crossgrove is the 11th grade Student of the Month for March. He is the son of Jeffrey and Cathi Crossgrove of Middleburg. In school, Bren participates in Mini Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Vocal Ensemble, Concert Choir, Vocal Collective, and Youth in Philanthropy. He is active in the Theater by being involved in both the school plays and musicals. Bren was selected for the PMEA Region Band and the All-State Wind Ensemble. He is currently taking Susquehanna University courses in addition to his classes at the high school. Bren attends Grace Covenant Community Church where he enjoys participating in the Youth Group and being a part of the Worship Team and Camera Team. In the future, Bren is planning to attend Susquehanna University to major in Music Education. Bren was chosen as the Student of the Month because he is an extremely respectful, hard-working student who is dedicated to excellence whether it is in his interactions with others or in his academic successes. He has persevered through difficulties and shows his talents in a variety of arenas. In addition, Bren showed initiative and leadership by spearheading the formation of a new club, Faith Based Club, for Friday’s activity schedule.

RKThe 12th grade Student of the Month for March is Raelee Kennedy. She is the daughter of Earl and Wendi Hollenbach of Middleburg. Raelee was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a dedicated, hardworking student who is willing to do anything asked of her, adds important viewpoints and opinions to class discussions, and goes above and beyond in her classwork. Raelee has been on the yearbook staff for two years and has really stepped into her role as editor by working incredibly hard to get the yearbook finished. Raelee’s school activities include Yearbook and Dream Learn Pitch. She serves as the President of the Art Club and is a teacher’s assistant in Art and English. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading, playing video games, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Raelee is planning to further her education by attending Lock Haven University for Secondary Education – English and a possible minor in Sociology.
