September 2024 Leaders of the H.E.R.D.

Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being a Leader of the H.E.R.D. (Helpful, Empathic, Responsible, and Driven)

AAThe 8th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for September is Averie Arbogast. She is the daughter of Jennifer Arbogast and Jason Robinson of Selinsgrove and Shawn and Jaqui Arbogast of Mt. Pleasant Mills. Averie was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she participates in class, comes prepared to learn each day, and is always willing to lend a hand to any student that needs help. Her school activities include FFA, Student Council, Choir, and Life Skills Outreach. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, cooking, shopping, and reading. Averie also performs and competes in Dance. In the future, Averie plans to go to college to study Pediatric Psychology and travel the world.

BNBeta Nelson is the 9th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for September. She is the daughter of Urian and Madeline Nelson of Middleburg. In school, Beta participates in the Craft Club and Key Club. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, taking walks, watching the sunset, and hanging out with family and friends. After graduation, Beta is planning to attend college at Susquehanna University. Beta was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is a quiet, sweet, and polite student who works well with others and independently. She goes above and beyond with her work, volunteers, and always puts forth her best effort.

DBThe 10th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for September is Danika Barger. She is the daughter of Mervin and Victoria Hostetler of McClure and the late Ryan Barger. Danika was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is a kind, sweet girl who has always displayed maturity and uses her artistic talents to help when needed. In school, Danika participates in FFA. Outside of school, she enjoys working on the family farm and showing her dairy cattle at various shows as well as art, making pottery, and using her artistic skills in tattooing. Additionally, she holds leadership positions as Treasurer of the Big Dreamers 4-H and Secretary/Treasurer of the Beaver Community Junior Fair Board. After graduation, Danika is planning to attend college to study in the medical field with a secondary degree in Agricultural Business.

ASAsia Seibel is the 11th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for September. She is the daughter of Kevin and Aimee Seibel of Middleburg. In school, Asia participates in Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, and Spring Track and Field. She enjoys helping on her family’s farm and working at the Middleburg Hotel along with attending youth group and spending time with her family and friends. In the future, Asia is planning to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology. Asia was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she demonstrates respect for herself, teachers, school, and peers. She works well with all her peers and is willing to help her classmates in group work. Asia is consistently at school and can be counted on to participate in class discussions.

LMThe 12th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for September is Lashauna Mosley. She is the daughter of Shane and Brandi Sheesley of Middleburg. Lashauna was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is respectful, helpful, and determined within her Understanding Disabilities class. She is always engaged in the lessons, activities, and observations in the Life Skills classroom. Lashauna participated in Junior Class Congress. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, taking trips, going to her cabin in Potter County, and spending time with friends and family. After graduation, Lashauna is planning to become a Veterinarian Assistant.
