The Food Service Department will continue contacting households who have debt, not only to inform, but to also begin the process of reducing our negative balances in the District. Large balances will be handled on a case by case basis to provide flexibility and aid where applicable. While enrolled in CEP, the first breakfast and lunch are free to all students. This benefit does not extend to adults who elect to eat in our cafeterias. Extra purchases and a la carte menu items, including single milk purchases without a meal, are still subject to charges. With that in mind, no student will be permitted to charge beyond $0.00 on their lunch account. Payments of any type can be made in person, via mail, or on www.myschoolbucks.com. CEP Release
Due to the percentage of Identified Students that attend Midd-West School District, the entire district has been approved to operate under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2023-24 School Year. What this means is that students who attend any of our four sites are eligible for Free Breakfast and Lunch without having to complete any application.
For the last few years, our collection of lunch debt has been either suspended or lessened to provide relief during the pandemic. As we as a community come further out of that, any lunch debt that exists will need to be paid. The Food Service Department will begin contacting households who have debt, simply to inform.
