MWSD School Board
Update
The Midd-West School Board of
Directors met on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 7:30pm
in West Snyder Middle School. During the meeting, it was decided to
change the location of future school board meetings
to the Midd-West High School cafeteria located
on Shuman Street in Middleburg. To learn more about the meeting and

Classes will begin for all schools in the
Midd-West School District on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

Welcome to
the Midd-West School District website. Midd-West School District
covers 45 square miles which is approximately one half of Snyder County.
MWSD, a district of 2300 students, operates three elementary schools,
two middle schools and one 9-12 high school. Middleburg Middle
School is a new/5-year old school, and West Snyder Middle School which
was originally a high school building has ample room and facilities not

Wrestling
T-Shirts For Sale
The
senior high Midd-West wrestlers are selling gray t-shirts with an
image on the front. T-shirts are available for $13.00 each in
adult and child sizes. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt
should contact Coach Franquet at 837-1150 or pawrest@ptd.net. |
Soccer
T-Shirts For Sale
The Midd-West
Girls' Soccer Team is taking orders for Carolina blue
soccer t-shirts.
The t-shirt is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The cost is $10.00 for
shirts available in sizes: YS, YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL and AXXL. The
payment is due in full when the
order is placed. If
paying by check, please make it payable to “Midd-West Sports Boosters.”
Black Ponchos
for Sale
The Midd-West
Girls Soccer Team is taking orders for a black rain poncho. The poncho
is water resistant 100% nylon taffeta outer shell, lightweight, quiet
soft shell fabric, button-down sides, large adjustable drawcord hood and
packs into a self-fabric pouch. The back will have the
blue
lettering of MIDD-WEST
and the Mustang logo in blue
underneath it. The cost is $20.00. The payment is due in full
when the order is placed.

NEW Tax Collection Lockbox Process
School real estate and per capita tax bills will no longer be collected by
your local tax collector. All local tax collectors have deputized the
District to collect taxes directly. In order to improve the efficiency of
collections, the District is using a lockbox system. This will allow the
funds to be sent directly to the District deposit account from each tax
payer. Your tax bills will have a new look and new instructions regarding
payments. Please note the following changes:

Tax payments, both real estate and per capita, are to be mailed to a
District post office box where they will automatically processed by
the bank. |

2. |
The envelope your tax bills are received in is to be re-used to mail
back your payment. |
|
3. |
Homeowners who escrow their real estate taxes should provide their
mortgage company/bank with a tax bill for payment processing. |
|
4. |
If you wish to receive a receipt for your payment, please include the
taxpayer copy of your bill and a self-addressed stamped envelope with
the remittance coupon and payment. |

5. |
Tax payments can be made in person at Swineford National Bank branches
in Beaver Springs, Middleburg, Mt. Pleasant Mills, Selinsgrove,
Hummels Wharf, Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, and Sunbury. |
